Health
Our breeding stock goes through a thorough physical examination which includes x-rays, ultrasounds and bloodtests.
All new Bengal cats are kept in home-quarantine for at least four weeks.
To further ensure the control of disease Farup Bengals is a "closed" Cattery
and we do not give stud services.
We house our breeding Bengal cats in organized , bright, spacious, playrooms
with no more than 4 cats per room.
To further ensure the control of disease we have set a very high sanitary
standard.
To further promote healthy & hardy Bengal cats we use the highest quality
food for their diet.
Our last objective involves careful selection of bloodlines to strengthen
this wonderful breed.
Breeding Program
Our present breeding stock consists of rosetted pelts, highly contrasted spots to body coat, wild faces and
Our top priority is to breed healthy Bengal cats and produce healthy Bengal kittens. In this regard,
I would like to explain our breeding and maintenance methods.
These procedures ensure that we are using "structurally sound" breeding stock. Our Bengal cats are all checked
regularly by our veterinarian (at least once a year) and are vaccinated yearly.
This ensures that all communicable diseases, if any are present, are isolated and medically treated until the
Bengal cat is completely healthy. Such rigorous isolation and maintenance ensures that our Cattery is free of
feline related diseases.
And, our studs are kept individually per
room.
This planned layout ensures a stress free environment, which in turn
promotes healthy, happy Bengal cats.
On a daily basis the floors are bleached, the food & water dishes
are washed and the litter boxes are cleaned.
